Hello!
My name is Nazaneen, but most people just call me Naz. I love writing, reading, eating and trying different kinds of food, traveling to new places, coffee, croissants, and the people in my life.
I moved to Canada at the age of 7, and ever since then have always been fascinated by the English language. I participated in my middle school's Spelling Bee competition, and when I graduated high school, I received the Dick Reininger Memorial Award for maintaining high marks in English class.
Because of all this, I definitely knew that I wanted to do something related to the language, and that is why I went into journalism. I love knowing what's happening in the world, and I want to make other people also be aware and be able to tell people's stories whose voices aren't heard.
I am a recent graduate from the joint journalism program at the University of Toronto and Centennial College. I made this blog to write about things that interest me besides breaking news, long-form journalism pieces and more. It's much more personal, but sometimes I'll also give me views on news since I can't really do that in real-life reporting. All views are my own on this blog.
